Decentralized Data Standards

Decentralization & Your Privacy

O'Clark Auctions operates on a hybrid Web3 infrastructure. Unlike traditional platforms, we do not request your legal name, physical address, or national identity documents. Your primary identifier is your public cryptographic wallet address.

By interacting with this platform, you acknowledge that transaction logs are broadcasted to public peer-to-peer networks and are globally accessible by design.

1. Information We Collect

We organize our data collection into two distinct categories: On-Chain Data and Off-Chain Profile Data.

A. On-Chain Ledger Logs

Includes your public wallet key (e.g. 0xbc4...13d), transaction hashes, listing fee expenditures, and smart contract method calls (bids, token transfers). This data is queried directly from RPC nodes.

B. Off-Chain User Profile

Includes your username, display name, bio, and linked profile assets stored securely in our database. We also collect basic session tokens via browser cookies and localStorage to persist your login.

2. How We Disseminate Information

O'Clark Auctions utilizes collected profile parameters to customize your artist storefront, format bid history listings, and enable direct platform features. We do not sell, rent, or distribute your email address, profile credentials, or browsing history to third-party advertising companies.

3. Keys & Wallet Security

At no point does O'Clark Auctions request, access, or store your wallet's private keys, seed phrases, or security credentials. All transaction signing occurs locally within your browser's wallet extensions (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.) utilizing secure cryptography standards.

4. Data Erasure & Right to Rectification

Your rights regarding your data are governed by the medium of storage:

  • Off-chain Parameters: You have the complete right to update, clear, or request deletion of your profile details, bio, and display settings directly from your Account Settings panel.
  • On-chain Records: Blockchain data is immutable. Historical bids, winning sales, and Artwork consign transactions cannot be modified, anonymized, or deleted.
